The name "Ruby Tulip" is in honor of my late mother, who passed away after a tough battle with breast cancer. On the day of her funeral, in frigid temperatures when nothing was in bloom, a mysterious red tulip sprouted in front of our home. It bloomed into a massive flower to our awe and bewilderment. How this red tulip bloomed and thrived when nothing else could, the significance of that day, my mother loving the color red, her birthstone being her favorite gemstone, ruby, seemed quite significant to me. No matter what anyone's beliefs may be, I think we should always believe in miracles & never lose faith in the strength of our spirits and the power of love.

Originally from New England, my childhood in Connecticut and time spent in NYC sparked my love for nature and art. In high school I got a job at a bead store, learned about gemstones and began creating. I started selling my jewelry in 2008 at the Brooklyn Indie Market & Young Designers Market in Soho. After moving west and spending 10 years in southern California, my love for the ocean deepened and surf culture became a part of my daily life and designs. Now, living in Jupiter, FL, my designs have evolved into a diverse mix of dainty, minimalist layering pieces, meaningful personalized pieces, beachy resort wear, and avant garde statement pieces. My mission is to capture joyful moments of life, inspired by love, nature, gratitude, & growth, and translate those moments into my designs.
